Patio & pool deck coatings in Cape Girardeau, MO
Outdoor concrete here lives a hard life - July sun, January freeze-thaw, and road salt tracked onto every step. Exterior coating systems fix the surface and the grip without the cost of tearing the slab out.
The exterior menu
Four ways to save an outdoor slab
POOL DECKS · COOL-TOUCH
Textured, slip-rated overlays in sandstone and stone tones - cooler underfoot than bare concrete and kinder to wet feet than trowel-slick finishes.
PATIOS · TEXTURED COATING
UV-stable coatings and overlays that cover years of stains and surface wear in one weekend, with the grip built in.
RESURFACING · SPALL REPAIR
Salt-spalled steps and scaling driveways ground, patched, and overlaid - a new wear surface bonded to the old slab at a fraction of replacement.
STAIN + SEAL
Penetrating stains with sealed top coats where you want the concrete look, upgraded - color depth without a film that winter can peel.
Every exterior job starts the same way the garages do: grind or profile, repair, then the system - because outside, shortcuts surface even faster than they do indoors.

Exterior coating questions
Will a coated pool deck be too hot to walk on barefoot?
Cooler than bare concrete, actually - the textured acrylic and polyaspartic systems we use outside reflect more heat than a dark slab, and the texture keeps wet feet from skating. Cool-touch and slip resistance are the two reasons pool decks get coated at all.
Can epoxy go outside on a patio?
Plain epoxy should not - it ambers and chalks in sunlight. Exterior work gets UV-stable materials: polyaspartic, acrylic overlay systems, or penetrating stains with sealed top coats. Same prep discipline, different chemistry.
My patio is cracked and spalling from winter salt. Coat or replace?
If the slab is structurally sound, resurfacing costs a fraction of tear-out: we grind, repair the spalling, fill cracks with flexible polyurea, and put a new wear surface over the whole thing. If the slab is heaving or pitched wrong, we say replace - coatings should not hide a drainage problem.
How does Missouri freeze-thaw affect the coating choice?
It rules the choice. Exterior systems here need flexibility (rigid films crack when the slab moves), breathability where slabs sit on damp grade, and salt resistance at the edges. That is why the exterior stack differs from the garage stack even when the color matches.
Exterior ranges are on the cost page; the material logic is in epoxy vs. polyaspartic.

Rough square footage and what the space is used for are plenty to start - garage, basement, shop, or the whole warehouse. You get a call back to talk it through and a written number by the square foot, not a pressure visit. Rather talk first? (573) 381-2102.
- A written estimate before any work is scheduled - prep, materials, and labor in one number
- Moisture testing and diamond grinding included in the quote, never a surprise line item
